More timber cuts
A total of 2.7 million cubic metres of timber were cut for sale in the 1st quarter of 2015. This is 7 per cent more than in the corresponding quarter of 2014. The average timber price rose by 2 per cent in the same period.

The aggregated gross value of roundwood sold to the manufacturing industry was NOK 937 million in the first quarter of 2015; an increase of NOK 80 million compared with the corresponding quarter in 2014. According to preliminary calculations, forest owners obtained NOK 351 per cubic metre; an increase of NOK 6 compared with the first quarter of 2014.
31 per cent exported
Preliminary external trade figures show that 840 000 cubic metres of timber were exported in the first quarter of 2015, which is 31 per cent of all timber cut for sale in this period.
