More timber and falling prices
A total of 2.7 million cubic metres of timber were cut for sale in the 2th quarter of 2015. This is an increase of 3 per cent compared with the corresponding quarter of 2014. In the same period, the average timber price decreased by 1 per cent.

The aggregated gross value of roundwood sold to the manufacturing industry was NOK 913 million in the second quarter of 2015; an increase of NOK 8 million compared with the second quarter in 2014. On average, the forest owners obtained NOK 339 per cubic metre of timber; a decrease of NOK 6.
