Slight decrease in roundwood sales
A total of 2.4 million cubic metres of timber were cut for sale in the 4th quarter of 2016. This is a decrease of 1.7 per cent compared with the corresponding quarter of 2015. In the same period, the average timber price decreased by NOK 1.

The aggregated gross value of roundwood sold to the manufacturing industry totalled NOK 799 million in the fourth quarter of 2016; almost the same level as the corresponding quarter in 2015. On average, forest owners obtained NOK 331 per cubic metre of timber; a decrease of 0.3 per cent.
