Lower expenditures on end-of-pipe equipment for pollution prevention are the main reason for the reduced investments. This environmental expenditure category includes clean-up activities after the closure of industrial sites, as well as the dismantling of offshore installations. The reduction in current expenditures is primarily related to waste water and solid waste management.
