Highest turnover for waste collection

Total turnover for water, sewerage and waste fell by almost 6 per cent compared to 2008. The decrease was highest within materials recovery, down NOK 1.8 billion or almost 23 per cent. Part of the reason for the observed decline was lower metal prices in 2009 (see producer price index ).

Total value added (at factor prices) amounted to NOK 5.9 billion, up 9 per cent from 2008. Waste collection and materials recovery was the largest industry, with a value added of NOK 5 billion (86 per cent of the total).
