Less transport abroad
The national transport performance by Norwegian lorries continued to increase in the 3rd quarter of 2008. The international transport performance fell 13 per cent compared with the corresponding quarter in the previous year.
Norwegian lorries transported a total of 73.6 million tonnes of goods during the 3rd quarter of 2008. This is 2.9 per cent more than in the corresponding quarter in the previous year. The average length of carriage was 60.2 kilometres per tonne for domestic transport and 617.7 kilometres per tonne for goods transported abroad.
