Decrease in truck transport
Norwegian lorries transported a total of 119 million tonnes of goods in the 1st half of 2011, which was distributed between 116 million tonnes in Norway and nearly 3 million tonnes overseas. This is about 6 per cent less than in the 1st half of 2010.
The total transport work fell by 7 per cent during the same period.
Overall, 62 million tonnes of goods were transported with Norwegian trucks in the 2nd quarter of 2011. This is 10 per cent less than in the 2nd quarter of 2010. The domestic transport work was reduced accordingly.
