Police figures
The statistics are compiled from returns made by police authorities. Less severe accidents and injuries are therefore under-represented in the figures. Total injured also include persons with degree of injury unspecified. In the future some of these persons may prove to be uninjured.
The accident figures for 2005 that are used for comparative purposes in this text are preliminary.
