23 fatalities in October
In October 2013, 23 persons were killed in road traffic accidents, according to preliminary figures. In October 2012, the corresponding figure was 14. The average for October over the last 10 years is 19 fatalities.

Of the fatalities last month, fifteen were men and eight were women. Thirteen of the fatalities were car drivers, five were passengers, one was a motorcyclist, one was a pedestrian and three were other road users.
