Last study year one out of three tertiary degrees in natural sciences longer than four years was completed by a woman, while a woman completed one out of four undergraduate degrees.
In 2005/06 the total number of tertiary degrees awarded in Norwegian universities and colleges has increased by 1 421 compared with the previous year. The percentage of women completing higher education has been constant 62 per cent the last couple of years, after increasing for several years.
