42 credit points per student
On average students at colleges and university colleges achieved 42 credit points in 2007/2008.
The most popular field of study was also the most productive in 2007/2008. Four of ten students enrolled in “Health, Welfare and Sport” completed minimum 60 credit points. A full-time study is normally 60 credit points. Among students at Norwegian universities and colleges this is the field of study with the highest proportion completing 60 credit points. Five out of ten achieved 1-59 credit points, while one out of ten did not complete any credit point.
Universities had the highest percentage of students completing 60 credit points in the academic year 2007/2008. 35 per cent of the students at the universities completed at least 60 credit points, while 18 per cent completed 0 credit points.
Eight out of ten completed credit points
Among 233 600 students registered at higher education institutions in Norway, 196 100 students completed credit points. That is 84 per cent of the students completed credit points. Specialised university institutions had a higher proportion of students completing credit points than the other institution types. More than 88 per cent of the students at specialised university colleges completed credit points.
