Norwegian assets abroad amounted to NOK 12 531 billion, while Norwegian liabilities abroad amounted to NOK 6 589 billion by the end of the 1st quarter of 2015. This gives a net assets balance of NOK 5 942 billion. Changes in asset and liability positions are broken down into transactions and other changes.

Table 1 shows that net other changes amounted to NOK 573 billion in the 1st quarter of 2015. This change is largely due to the return on the Norwegian portfolio investments abroad, with NOK 573 billion in other changes in this quarter.

The transactions shown in the table correspond with the transactions published in the balance of payments. The transactions in financial assets amounted to NOK 185 billion and in liabilities to NOK 200 billion in 2014, resulting in a net lending of NOK -15 billion.
