The number of establishments registered in Norway amounted to 468 481 per 1 July 2006. Most establishments are within agriculture and forestry, other business activities, construction, real estate and health and social work.

These figures are collected from the Central Register of Establishments and Enterprises (CRE) at Statistics Norway. Figures by industrial activity code, size groups, counties and municipalities are available in StatBank Norway.
