| Definition | Incineration of waste, both in incineration plants and co-incineration plants. Waste incineration plant: means any technical unit and equipment dedicated to the thermal treatment of waste with or without recovery of the combustion heat generated, Co-incineration plant: means any technical unit and equipment dedicated to the generation of energy or production or processing of material products, and which in addition incinerates waste. If the plant incinerates untreated mixed household waste, the plant shall be regarded as an incineration plant. |
