Hordaland exported NOK 12.4 billion worth of traditional commodities from January to August. Mineral oil products outside crude oil and natural gas accounted for 40 per cent of the county's combined exports. Exports of finished goods, which for the entire country amounted to almost 70 per cent of all exports, were also high from this county. Metals and various types of machinery were the most important commodity groups. Nine per cent of Norway's combined exports of fish came from Hordaland.
Nearly a quarter of the NOK 108 billion worth of traditional commodities exported by Norway in the first eight months of this year were produced in Hordaland and Rogaland counties, which claimed export shares of 11.5 and 11.4 per cent respectively. In third place was Vest-Agder with 8.1 per cent.
From January to August Rogaland exported NOK 12.3 billion worth of traditional commodities. Mineral oil products, outside oil and gas, amounted to all of 45 per cent. The most important export commodities from Rogaland in the finished products category were the same--metals and machinery--as for its neighbour county Hordaland. In addition, Rogaland exported scientific and technical instruments.
