Unemployment at 4.1 per cent

Adjusted for seasonal variations, there were 114 000 unemployed persons in August. This corresponded to 4.1 per cent of the labour force, down 0.2 percentage points from May.

From May (average of April–June) to August (average of July–September), the seasonally-adjusted unemployment decreased by 0.2 percentage points, or 6 000 persons. This change is within theLabour force survey (LFS) margin of error.
