Increased labour costs in construction

Preliminary figures for total labour costs in construction show a 2.8 per cent increase from the second to third quarter of 2011. The index showed a 0.4 per cent increase for the same period in 2010.

Labour costs for the third quarter increased by 1.8 per cent in manufacturing, while the index for oil and gas extraction and mining showed a 1 per cent decrease in labour costs for the last quarter.
