Slight increase in man-years in local authorities
Preliminary figures show a 0.7 per cent increase in contracted man-years within municipal authorities from the 4th quarter of 2012 to the 4th quarter of 2013.

Measured by number of employees, the growth was 0.4 per cent. Health and social services had a marked growth of 1.7 per cent compared to 2012.
In county authorities, the number of man-years showed a decrease of 0.3 per cent compared to the 4th quarter of 2012. The number of employed persons was reduced by nearly 1 per cent. The decrease was within upper secondary education.
Increase in nursing and care services
Taking into account services bought from private enterprises or inter-municipal companies in nursing and care services, preliminary figures show that contracted man-years in nursing and care increased by 2 600 man-years, or 2.0 per cent, from the 4th quarter of 2012 to the 4th quarter of 2013. The share of private services shows an increase after being stable for several years.
Oslo municipalityOpen and readClose
The municipality of Oslo experienced problems in reporting to the Central Register of Employers and Employees in 2012 and was hence not included in the figures for 2012. Oslo municipality has resumed its reporting in 2013. The figures for 2013 show a slight increase within the school sector, whereas other municipal areas remain largely unchanged.
Preliminary figures in MarchOpen and readClose
Figures published in March are based on some of several data sources used to produce revised figures in June. Preliminary figures are thus not revised and errors may occur. Deviations from revised figures could be considerable for some municipalities.
