Rise in employment for most occupations
One in four employed persons worked in occupations for technicians and associate professionals in 2007, according to Statistics Norway’s Labour Force Survey.
From 2006 to 2007, total employment rose by 81 000 (3.4 per cent). Employment among technicians and associate professionals (major group 3) rose by 7.5 per cent, while employment among professionals (major group 2) rose by 5.7 per cent.
Nearly all occupations experienced increased employment. Occupations as teaching professionals and administrative professionals showed the strongest growth.
