Sewage and refuse disposal, sanitation and similar activities, 6th period 2004

In the sixth period of 2004 (November and December) the turnover was NOK 1.65 billion. This represents an increase of 18 per cent compared with the same period in 2003.

Businesses involved in the collection and treatment of sewage had a turnover of approximately NOK 700 million in 2004, and in November and December the turnover was approximately NOK 140 million. Businesses involved in sanitation, remediation and similar activities had a turnover of NOK 280 million in 2004 and NOK 76 million in November and December.

In 2004, the turnover in businesses involved in the collection and treatment of other waste represented about 90 per cent of the total turnover within sewage and refuse disposal. This subgroup had a turnover of NOK 8.5 billion in 2004, and in November and December the turnover was higher than NOK 1.4 billion.
