Sewage and refuse disposal, sanitation and similar activities, 2nd period 2005

Businesses dealing with collection and treatment of sewage had a turnover of NOK 155 million in March and April of 2005. This is a 5 per cent increase compared with the same period in 2004. The businesses dealing with sanitation, remediation and similar activities had a turnover of NOK 47 million in the same period. This is a 2 per cent decrease compared with the corresponding period in 2004.

In March and April of 2005 the turnover in the businesses dealing with collection and treatment of other waste represented over 9/10 of the total turnover within sewage and refuse disposal. This subclass had a turnover of almost NOK 1.8 billion in the second period of 2005, an increase of six per cent compared with March and April in 2004.
