Research in Statistics Norway aims to provide new knowledge on economic behaviour and the economic impacts of policy measures. This knowledge is useful to the research community and helps to improve the quality of statistics. The knowledge gained from research provides an analytical tool and results that can be used by public bodies and the general public. Statistics Norway’s research activities are a source of factual knowledge, and shall entail the development of analytical tools for social planning and the analysis of Statistics Norway’s statistics.
