Mange variable er nye fra og med 2009. Antall eide kommunale boliger og antall boliger kommunen leier inn til videre framleie, kan for 2011 være påvirket av en presisering av disposisjonsformene. Boliger eid av kommunale AS eller kommunale stiftelser regnes nå som innleid til videre fremleie og ikke som kommunalt eide boliger. See list over changes in regional classifications (in Norwegian).
