Now you have come to the page, Choose variable. This page give you the oportunity to select which variables and values you want to display in your result of the table. A variable is a property of a statistical unit. The page is divided into several boxes, one for each variable, where you can select values by click to highlight one or more values. It always starts with the statistics variable which is the main value counted in the table.

Please be aware of many municipality changes and border adjustments in the early 1960s, see Endringer i kommuneinndelingen 1951-2008. See list over changes in regional classifications (in Norwegian).

In-migration

Please note that the region selections Municipalities 2024 aggregated time series, Counties 2024 aggregated time series, Regions, Police districts, Centrality and Economic regions summarize single figures for municipalities or counties. Domestic migrations figures for a larger regional unit are thus not correct, since also migrations within the region are counted.

Emigration

The population figures in the years 1951, 1956, 1961, 1962 and the years 1966-1970 will not match the population in other tables.
