A variable is a property of a statistical unit. The page is divided into several boxes, one for each variable, where you can select values by click to highlight one or more values. It always starts with the statistics variable which is the main value counted in the table.

Native language training:
Native language training is teaching in the student's mother tongue provided to students whose mother tongue is neither Norwegian nor Sami, beyond the regular teaching hours.

Bilingual education:
Bilingual education is teaching within the regular teaching hours where the student's mother tongue is used in the education, either alone or together with Norwegian.

Adapted education:
Other education adapted to the students' prerequisites when the municipality cannot provide teachers in the mother tongue who can offer mother tongue instruction and/or bilingual education.
