0 means 0.0 or less than 0.5. In Numedalslågen, Neiden and Tana, fish caught by other fishing gear are included. Reports of data on river catch and release were collected for the first time in 2009.
The Tana Watercourse was not opened for salmon fishing in 2021-2023.
Pink salmon (kg/pieces)
As from 2023, catches from targeted measures against pink salmon are reported to the Norwegian Environment Agency, and are not included in official statistics.
On 23 June 2024, fishing was closed for 33 rivers, of these 16 rivers were opened for very restricted fishing on 11 July. The fishing season in the rivers around the Varangerfjord was reduced by two weeks.
The rivers that were closed on 23 June and out of season are Glomma m. Aagardselva i Østfold fylke, Hjelmelandsåna og Nordelva (Åbøelva) i Rogaland fylke, Uskedalselva, Steinsdalselva, Nærøydalselva, Sogndalselva, Nausta, Gloppenelva og Strynselva i Vestland fylke, Austefjordelva, Rauma, Eira og Surna i Møre og Romsdal fylke og Orkla, Gaula og Steinkjerelva og Byaelva i Trøndelag fylke.
The rivers that were reopened for very restricted fishing on 11 July are Tovdalselva, Otra, Mandalselva and Lygna in Agder, Figgjo and Vikedalselva in Rogaland, Oselva, Daleelva, Gaula i Sunnfjorden, Åelva og Ommedalselva and Hjalma in Vestland, Korsbrekkelva in Møre og Romsdal and Nidelva, Stjørdalselva, Verdalselva and Namsenvassdraget inkludert Høylandsvassdraget og Sanddøla in Trøndelag.
