Now you have come to the page, Choose variable. This page give you the oportunity to select which variables and values you want to display in your result of the table. A variable is a property of a statistical unit. The page is divided into several boxes, one for each variable, where you can select values by click to highlight one or more values. It always starts with the statistics variable which is the main value counted in the table.
Navigating with keyboard and screenreader. Select multiple object in row: SHIFT+arrow down/up. To select a single value in the listbox: Windows:Hold Ctrl + arrow down. Then release Ctrl and press space. Repeat. Mac:CMD+arrow down/up. Then release CMD and press spacebar. Repeat. (Works only in Chrome, not in Safari). To exit listbox with values selected, press TAB-key.

Adults in specialised courses are included in the figures. Figures for county tertiary vocational education inn 2009, are not included. As of 2015, vocational schools are not included in the numbers. For the year 2018 officer candidate schools was not included in the numbers, which lead to a lower number of pupils in other upper secondary education programmes. For the year 2021, the officer candidate schools had no pupils as of 1 October due to COVID-19. About 1800 pupils from web-based schools were included in the statistics in 2012. Almost 1500 of them were pupils on vocational education programmes. From the autumn of 2016, Media and communication became an education programme in general studies. Pupils who started on Media and communication in the autumn of 2015 or earlier, complete their education according to the old structure.
