Average monthly basic earnings and average monthly earnings are given in NOK, rounded to the nearest ten. For the 2015 figures, the reference month is September, and thus not November, which is the reference month for the years after 2015. In addition, the method for calculating working hours is different for the 2015 figures than for the years after 2015. More information about wage statistics can be found under About the statistics . The education data in this table, table 11420, applies for previous year (reference date is 1.10). This means that for wage statistics for 2020 education data for 2019 is used, for wage statistics for 2019 education data for 2018 is used etc. The reason behind this is that the education data is not completed when the wage statistics are published in February. This is different from table '12407: Monthly earnings, by level of education, field of study and number of years since education was completed' where education data for the applicable year is used when available.
