Electronic identification (eID) enables the identification of a person and secure login to the public online services. EID is recognized and regulated by public authorities and it requires a high degree of security. Examples of Norwegian eIDs: MinID, BankID, BankID-app, BankID på mobil, Buypass ID, Commfides.
