2018-2022: The questions regarding «alcohol once a week or more often» and «cannabis for the last 12 months» were asked quarterly in the years 2018-2022, while the questions «six or more units on one and the same occasion weekly», «cannabis ever», and questions on addictive drugs were only asked in the 2nd quarter.
2023: After a reorganization of the Drug Survey in 2023, only questions about alcohol and cannabis were asked in the 2nd quarter of that year. No data on addictive drugs were collected in 2023.
Sample: questions about alcohol and addictive drugs use are directed at individuals aged 16-79, while questions about cannabis are directed at individuals aged 16-64. In 2024, the survey was conducted for the first time as a mixed mode survey, i.e., a combination of web and telephone interviews, whereas previously only telephone interviews were conducted. Of the participants in the 2024 survey, 59 percent responded via a self-administered web form, while 41 percent were interviewed over the phone.
