Now you have come to the page, Choose variable. This page give you the oportunity to select which variables and values you want to display in your result of the table. A variable is a property of a statistical unit. The page is divided into several boxes, one for each variable, where you can select values by click to highlight one or more values. It always starts with the statistics variable which is the main value counted in the table.

Pupils in alternative education programs are included. The National education database (NUDB) in Statistics Norway is used as the source for statistics about completion rates of pupils in upper secondary education. This database is updated regularly and two tables giving the same information may have minor differences, due to data extraction at two different points in time.
Completed education: A pupil is considered to have completed their education if he/she has passed all the subjects within all the course levels and eligible for a high school diploma or a vocational certificate.
