Lower costs due to diesel prices
The total cost index for road goods transport has decreased by 0.2 per cent in the last month. The total cost index has decreased by 0.8 per cent in the last 12 months, mainly due to the decrease in diesel prices.
The fuel index has decreased by 3.5 per cent from October to November 2001. In the last 12 months, the index has decreased by 21.4 per cent.
The index for ferry costs and road tolls has increased by 9.8 per cent in the last month, mainly due to an increase in road tolls. Since November 2000, this index has increased by 15.1 per cent.
The index for capital costs has decreased by 0.1 per cent in the last month. This index has increased by 2.0 per cent in the last 12 months.
The administration cost index increased by 1.0 per cent last month from October to November. In the last 12 months, this index has increased by 2.6 per cent.
The other sub-indices showed little or no change the last month.
