Decrease in diesel prices

The fuel index has decreased by 1.4 per cent the last month. From February 2003 to February 2004 this index decreased by 6.4 per cent.

The total cost index for road goods transport has not changed from January 2004 to February 2004. Over the last 12 months the total costs increased by 0.7 per cent on average.

Increased tyre prices

The tyre index has increased by 0.6 per cent compared with last month, due to changes in prices by some contractors. During the last 12 months this index increased by 3.0 per cent.

Increase in wages and social costs

The wage index has increased by 0.4 per cent for the last month. Over the last 12 months this index increased by 5.7 per cent.

Increased administration costs

The administration costs increased by 0.3 from January 2004 to February 2004. Over the last 12 months this index increased by 3.1 per cent.

The other sub-indices show little or no change over the last month.
