Cost index for road goods transport, Q3.666666666666666667 2004

The total cost index for road goods transport increased by 0.5 per cent from October 2004 to November 2004. Over the last 12 months the total costs have increased by 3.5 per cent.

Increase in wages and social costs

The wage index has increased by 2.5 per cent for the last month. In the last 12 months this index has increased by 4.0 per cent.

Increased administration costs

The administration costs increased by 1.6 per cent for the last month. Over the last 12 months this index has increased by 2.9 per cent.

Lower capital costs

The index for capital costs decreased by 0.9 per cent for the last month due to the decrease in real interest rates. In the last 12 months this index, which is composed by depreciation and amortization, interest costs and annual fee, has decreased by 0.8 per cent.

The other sub-indices show little or no change over the last month.
