Increase in diesel prices

Mainly due to higher diesel prices the total cost index for road goods transport increased by 0.5 per cent from January to February. Over the last twelve months the total costs increased by 4.0 per cent.

Cost index for road goods transport, by vehicle group. February 2006- February 2007

The fuel index has increased by 2.9 per cent the last month. During the last year this index is unchanged.

The fuel index is based on actual diesel prices collected from a representative selection of dealers across the country on the 15th of each month.

The other sub-indices show no change over the last month.
