Road goods transport by Norwegian lorries, Q2 2009

The total transport performance by Norwegian lorries during this year’s 2^{n d} quarter amounted to 4.4 billion tonne kilometres, of which 3.5 was made up of domestic transport and 0.9 on international transport. A total of 68.1 million tonnes of goods were transported.

The financial crisis had not reached the Norwegian road transport industry by the 2^{n d} quarter of last year. At that point in time both the transport performance and the tonnage carried were at the highest level ever registered in this survey.
