Transport performance down
The transport performance by Norwegian lorries amounted to 4.2 billion tonne kilometres in the first quarter of this year. This is 253 million tonne kilometres less than in the corresponding quarter last year. International transports had the biggest decline.
The total tonnage carried by Norwegian lorries showed a discreet growth compared with the first quarter of 2010. The fall in the transport performance is due to shorter transport distances per transport operation.
