Low increase in bond issues
In 2004, total bond issues in Norway amounted to NOK 125.7 billion, an increase of NOK 1.2 billion or 1 per cent compared with 2003.
The banks stood behind 43 per cent of the issued amount, followed by central government with 17.3 per cent. Total bond debt amounted to NOK 533.4 billion, an increase of NOK 13.6 billion or 2.63 per cent. Bank debts amounted to 34 per cent of the total bond debt.
