A variable is a property of a statistical unit. The page is divided into several boxes, one for each variable, where you can select values by click to highlight one or more values. It always starts with the statistics variable which is the main value counted in the table.

People in households where the main income earner is a receiver of income from Voluntary Early Retirement Scheme.

Receivers of survivor's benefit

People in households where the main income earner is a receiver of survivor's benefit.

Single pensioners, receivers of the minimum state pension

Living alone and recipient of the minimum old-age pension or the minimum guaranteed disability benefit.

Single old-age pensioners, receivers of the minimum state pension

People in households where the main income earner is a receiver of old-age pension.

Longstanding illness

People in households where the main income earner is registered with longstanding illness. Included are people in receipt of rehabilitation allowances, persons incapable of full employment but parttaking in labour market schemes, and others. Up until 2005, persons who were incapable of full employment but who were taking part in programmes initiated by the National Insurance Scheme (e.g. school and work placements), and persons who were receiving vocational rehabilitation allowances, were not included in the statistics

Long-term unemployed

People in households where the main income earner has been continuously unemployed for 6 months or more

Immigrants and Norwegian-born to immigrant parents from Eastern Europe, Africa, Asia, Latin-America and the Caribbean

People in households where the main income earner is an immigrant or person born in Norway with both parents of foreign origin from Asia, Africa, Latin-America, Eastern Europe and Oceania except Australia and New Zealand.

Immigrants and Norwegian-born to immigrant parents from Eastern Europe, Africa, Asia, Latin-America and the Caribbean

Persons in households where the main income earner is an immigrant or a Norwgian-born to immigrant parents from Europe (except countries in the EU/EFTA and the UK), new EU-membership countries from 2004 and on, Asia, Africa, America except USA and Canada and Oceania except Australia and New Zealand.

Refugees

People in households where the main income earner is a refugee

People on social assistance

People in households where the main income earner has received social assistance during the year

Single people under 35 years of age

Households consisting of one student are excluded from single people under 35 years of age
