Obs:

On 3 September 2024, the table was updated with preliminary figures for 2023. Please see the footnotes below for more information.
Statistics Norway does not publish figures where there is a risk of identifying individual data about persons or households. The 'rounding up/down' method is used in these statistics to ensure this by rounding cells containing '1' or '2' to '0' or '3'. Preliminary figures
To improve the timeliness of the statistics, the information on self-employed persons utilized here is from 2022, the year prior to the reference year 2023. The mismatch in time of measurement, results in some uncertainty in these preliminary figures. The statistics is updated with final figures when information on self-employed persons from the reference year is available. For more information, see the section 'Frequency and timeliness' under 'Administrative information' in 'About the statistics'.
Priority labour force status
In this statistic, one prioritised status is calculated for each individual's connection to the labour market, education, and benefits. For those enrolled in multiple activities/benefits simultaneously, the status with the highest priority is displayed (for employed persons, the top two priority statuses). This status is determined by a specific hierarchy. For instance, a person who is both in education and receiving disability pension would be classified as being in education for the purposes of these statistics. More information can be found under the 'Definitions' section in 'About the statistics'.

Not in education, employment or training
The following priority labour force statuses from level 2 are included in level 4 of 'Not in employment, education or training (incl. NEET for persons 15-29 years)': 'Registered unemployed persons', 'Recipients of work assessment allowance/disability benefits', 'Recipients of retirement pension' and 'Other'. The acronym 'NEET' is often used to describe young persons aged 15-29 years. More information can be found under the 'Definitions' section in 'About the statistics'.
Region determined by the address in the National Population Register
The address in the National Population Register is used to determine regional belonging on municipality and county level. Some of the youngest in the age group 15 to 29 years may still be registered with their guardians, even though they have moved away form home. This can especially be the case for those moving away to study, since it is voluntary for students to change their address in the National Population Register.
Missing data
Statistics Norway lacks information about the number of pupils/students undergoing education at a handful number of schools. This affects mostly the number and share of persons not in employment, education or training in some small municipalities.
