National lorry transport up 7 per cent
Norwegian lorries covered 415.2 million kilometres on domestic journeys in the third quarter of 2007, an increase of 7.2 per cent from the corresponding quarter in 2006. The transport performance was 3.8 billion tonne kilometres, an increase of 6.8 per cent.
Norwegian lorries carried 69.9 million tonnes of goods in domestic transport and 1.7 million tonnes in international transport during the third quarter of 2007, an increase of 3.6 and 14.1 per cent respectively from the third quarter of 2006.
