Assessed corporate taxes stood at NOK 139 billion in 2015, which was a decrease of NOK 69 billion, or 33 per cent, from 2014.

The business enterprise sector performed research and development (R&D) for about NOK 28.1 billion in 2015. This is 13 per cent higher than in 2014. At constant prices, the increase was 10 per cent.

Highest survival rate for limited liability companies
There were 42 069 newly-established enterprises in 2009, of which 11 546, or 27 per cent, were still active in 2014. Limited liability companies, with about 49 per cent, had the highest survival rate.

Norwegian enterprises’ asset holdings abroad fell in 2015, after rising for several years. Total assets in foreign countries stood at NOK 1 650 billion, which was about 3 per cent down from 2014.

Preliminary accounting statistics show a decline in profitability for non-financial limited companies. The operating profit was NOK 6 on every NOK 100, which was down from NOK 10 in 2014.
