The household electricity price was 7,2 percent lower in the second quarter of 2024 compared to the first quarter of this year.

The price of electricity for households including grid rent and taxes, but before electricity support is deducted, was a record high 317,6 øre per kWh on average in the third quarter of 2022. Because of the electricity support for households, introduced by the government in December 2021, there was only a small increase in the price paid by households compared to the previous quarter.

The average price of electricity for households, excluding taxes and grid rent, was 76.3 øre per kWh in the third quarter of 2021. This is more than twice as high compared to the average price in third quarter the last five years.
- Threefold increase in electricity price for households Article 17 August
The average price of electricity for households, excluding taxes and grid rent, was 50.9 øre per kWh in the second quarter of 2021. This is more than three times as high compared to the second quarter of 2020 when the price was record low.
